Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 June 2026

Plain-language summary

Pragma is an AI relationship-coaching tool, not a licensed therapist or medical provider. It doesn't diagnose or treat conditions and isn't for emergencies. Use it respectfully, keep your account secure, and remember subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play. This summary is for convenience; the full terms below govern.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Pragma ("Pragma", "we", "us") governing your access to and use of the Pragma applications, website, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use Pragma

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using Pragma you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate. Pragma is intended for personal, non-commercial use between partners in a relationship.

2. What Pragma is — and is not

Pragma is an AI-powered relationship-coaching tool informed by established therapeutic methods. It is not therapy, not medical or mental-health care, and not a substitute for a licensed professional. The AI coaches are software, not human clinicians or licensed therapists, and they do not establish a therapist–patient relationship. Pragma does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and nothing it generates should be taken as medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

You should not use Pragma in place of professional care. If you are experiencing a crisis, thoughts of harming yourself or others, abuse, or a medical or mental-health emergency, stop using the Service and contact emergency services or a qualified professional immediately. In the United States you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 1-800-799-7233 (National Domestic Violence Hotline). Pragma is not an emergency service and cannot respond to emergencies.

3. AI-generated content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate responses, summaries, and suggestions. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate, and may not reflect current professional consensus. You are responsible for how you act on anything Pragma suggests. We do not guarantee any particular outcome for your relationship.

4. Accounts and partner pairing

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Pragma lets you pair with a partner using an invite code; pairing enables limited, privacy-aware sharing of insights as described in our Privacy Policy. Your individual session transcripts are not shared with your partner. You may unpair at any time.

5. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing

Pragma offers a 7-day free trial and paid subscription plans (monthly, three-month, and annual). Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their terms. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: using it for anyone under 18; attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt it; uploading unlawful, harmful, or infringing content; using it to harass or harm another person; or relying on it as a substitute for professional or emergency care. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, content, and the Pragma name and marks, is owned by Pragma and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal use. You retain ownership of the content you submit, and grant us a licence to process it solely to operate and improve the Service as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for your situation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pragma and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, relationships, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Pragma harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes and termination

We may modify the Service or these Terms. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the Service at any time; we may suspend or terminate access for violations or to comply with law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Pragma is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
